Future Business Leaders of America

Hello blogging world!  This is my very first blog.  How exciting is that?  I guess I will talk about one of the clubs that I am involved in.  This club allows members to gain leadership skills, learn business knowledge, and prepares members for the real world.  This club is Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA).
FBLA started back in 1937 by Dr. Hamden L. Forkner.  There different levels of FBLA.  The high school level is the one that I am talking about today--FBLA.  Phi Beta Lamda is the collegiate level of FBLA with over 11,000 students.  There is also a Professional Division for adults who love business.  And the last division that FBLA is made up of is for grades 5-9 called FBLA-Middle Level.  Overall FBLA has 215,000+ members and the organization continues to grow rapidly.
FBLA members are allowed to participate in the District Leadership Conference (DLC).  This is an program with over 50 competitive events that are business related.  Students can do up to three events each year.  I am always trying to do the most I can, so each year I compete in three different events.  These events are really fun and I learn a lot from them.
That was just a little bit of what FBLA is.  I will for sure keep posting more blogs about the wonderful FBLA.  I hope you got something out of this and consider joining if you are not yet a member.  Trust me it will forever change your life!
